There are a lot of businesses using ChatGPT for their emails and subject headlines, you can really tell these days the more super similar styled content is arriving in my inbox!
I get asked fairly frequently if using a tool like ChatGPT to draft content is okay —my answer is, 'Yes, but only as a tool.'
What I've found, especially over the main holidays (Valentine's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas come to mind in particular) is a sea of emails that read very similarly... it quite literally becomes a blur.
I can picture it: someone makes a draft with AI, thinks it's the bees knees, and sends it off as your official finished content... that the boss just waves it on saying they're too busy and assume since they're being paid to do the job that it'll be good. Imagine that playing out in real life?
This actually makes me think of the Office, when Jim has to submit a big client 'rundown' for the new boss to send to all the higher ups in corporate.

Well, when Jim finished —and had no idea what he was doing mind you— the new boss didn't even look at it and just told him to send it off to everyone.
I think a lot of business owners think that ChatGPT sounds intelligent, or it sounds better than they do, but it's not that brilliant. Moral of the story: No matter how much you use tools, even those that are smarter than you, YOU are the #1 expert of your business.
To really make the most of a tool like ChatGPT, you'll want to have a clear and unwavering vision of what you're wanting to create.
When you know what you're looking to have done, you can receive a much better starting point from helpful AI tools... even built in tools like those in Later to optimize your caption copywriting —the better base you give the technology, the higher quality responses you'll receive.
This is also really important to consider from an environmental impact standpoint... Not everyone realizes that engaging in some AI tools actually has a serious impact on our world as a whole. (Read all about AI + SEO in this blog, it includes a good amount of info on this topic!)
What does that mean for you? It means that you're more likely to have something that serves your business (and the world!)
The long term goal with any content marketing is to have something that supports connecting you to your people, not just now but for the foreseeable future!
Whether or not you're using tech to help you out with copywriting —once you've got your first draft, go back to what you know: your vision for success, your voice, your personality, and sprinkle it all over that draft of content before you hit schedule.
How to build better content marketing habits through the power of channeling your time, energy, and effort with purpose.
As the creator and builder of your business, it's your baby! The best thing you can do for yourself, and your future, is to diligently work towards your goals.
One of the best ways you can do this is to start putting purpose behind your actions. When I share this with others, I always bring it back to the same thing —YOU.
Let me give you some examples from my own life...
The more I channel my time, the more:
fun and play time I have to give back to my little one and family.
free space to think and unwind I find.
enjoyment I discover in my every day work and life!
The more I commit and get specific with how I use my energy (both mental and physical!), the more:
genuine my content becomes.
simply my ideas and voice flow together.
creative I feel.
The more I purposefully follow-through on my action plans with effort, the more:
I find what I create, say, and do connects with my people.
new people are drawn to me.
opportunities and fun find me.
Some people may call it the law of attraction, but it's so much more than that. It's actual action steps that are destined to support growth long-term.
So quite literally, you are attracting your best future when you practice intentionally along the way.
Doing this has allowed me and many other people to step into new arenas of life, discover new joy, and even new recognitions in their niches.
You can do this too.
